Building the Crosby Catboat

In 1986-87 boatbuilder Barry Thomas and his crew at Mystic Seaport constructed a 20-foot catboat after rediscovering the methods used in the famous Crosby boatshops on Cape Cod, ca. 1880-1935. In this construction guide the author documents the unique Crosby building methods and discusses the importance of preserving and using appropriate technologies from the past.
